Victoria Doramus wants to Make the World a Better Place for Animals
If you ever have noticed a stray cat or dog wandering around on the road and wonder where they end up, chances are they will end up in an animal shelter at some point. In most cases, the authorities will euthanize them. Usually, the first ones to go are the older and sicker pets. In fact, nearly 17 million pets are put to death at animal shelters, yearly. However, there are some who have chosen to stop this trend and one such person is marketer Victoria Doramus. If Victoria Doramus can help it, this number will be reversed.
The way she is trying to accomplish this is by supporting humane animal shelters that give care to unwanted animals and help the orphaned pets find a new home. As for the ones that are either too old or sick to find a new place to live, she wants them to get care to the end of their days. Victoria Doramus is achieving this is by supporting humane animal shelters such as Best Friends Animal Society, which was started by a group of friends and has grown to become an organization that cares for as many as 1600 animals at a time!
Started in the early 1980s, Best Friends Animal Society became successful because they adopted a multi-pronged approach to succeed. The shelter holds fund-raising events, talk to animal rescue and shelter groups, provide public education campaigns as well as hold adoption events. To date, they have helped thousands of pets find a new, loving home to live out the rest of their years. Part of the reason why recovery expert Victoria Doramus believes in this cause is that she herself has experienced struggles and difficulties in her life that took her to the edges of destruction. After fighting her way back and succeeding, she realized that others, including animals, need our support to live in a world that is less cruel.
